Donegal Twists is a subtle twist of two beautiful yarns, giving the perfect balance of strength, color and handle. It blends together 28% Worsted Spun Luxury British Wool and 72% Woollen Spun Soft Donegal Merino. This traditional yarn is designed by the Baa Ram Ewe team and is made in Kilcar, Ireland at Donegal Yarns woolen mill.
We have found that this is closer to a sport weight yarn than a DK weight. You will find that it has quite a soft hand without scratchiness compared to other traditional yarns.
100% of our wool comes from non-mulesed sheep.
