these are quilting terms to help you understand exactly what we are talking about ;)
note the color coded terms correspond with that colored part of the quilt
batting – the layer of cotton/polyester, between the quilt top and quilt back, that gives the quilt warmth and loft
block - the t shirt forms the block (smaller graphics can be joined to make one larger block for a fee)
binding – the fabric that encloses the edges around the quilt
border – the fabric that frames the outside of a quilt (this is optional and not included in the standard price)
cornerstone block – the small square that connects the sashing fabric
quilt back – fabric used on the back side of the quilt
quilt top – the top layer of the quilt after all the blocks, sashing and border are assembled
quilting – the stitches that go through all the layers, forming designs and securing the batting and fabric
sashing – the fabric between the blocks that adds visual contrast and stabilize each block
